Joseph Adams

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Joseph Adams is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of River Acres Development, LLC, which he helped establish in 2021 with a vision of expanding quality, attainable housing opportunities in West Michigan.

A self-taught real estate developer and U.S. Army veteran, Joseph has spent years building his knowledge of land acquisition, real estate development, housing, and community revitalization through hands-on experience, industry training, and continued study. Since beginning this work, he has strategically acquired more than 40 acres of land to support River Acres Development’s long-term housing vision and has remained actively engaged in moving projects from concept toward development.

Joseph served six years in the U.S. Army in the communications field, experience that strengthened his commitment to discipline, problem-solving, and mission-focused leadership. His passion for real estate, history, and community development continues to drive River Acres Development’s growth.

As CEO, Joseph leads the company’s development vision, land acquisition strategy, project planning, and long-term growth, with a focus on creating thoughtful housing developments that strengthen communities and contribute to the future of West Michigan.

Zaneta Adams, J.D.

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Zaneta Adams brings extensive legal, governmental, and executive leadership experience to River Acres Development. A former municipal attorney and senior government executive, she has worked at the city, county, state, and federal levels, giving her a unique understanding of property matters, governmental processes, regulatory systems, and public-private partnerships.

As COO, Zaneta helps guide River Acres Development’s operations, community engagement, strategic partnerships, and work with governmental and funding entities. A retired U.S. Army veteran with deep roots in Muskegon County, she is passionate about community revitalization and creating quality housing that strengthens neighborhoods and expands opportunities for families.

Through River Acres Development, Zaneta is committed to transforming underutilized property into sustainable, thoughtfully designed housing that contributes to the long-term growth of the community.
